Following on from the March Synod, the Moderator and Synod Mission Committee are offering a weekly programme of workshops using the Synod Aspirations to help us continue to explore growth in its various forms.

Beginning on the 8th May, the programme will run right through to February 2025. The programme will run on Zoom on Wednesday nights from 7.30pm-8.30pm. Each evening will be hosted by members of the Synod team and have presenters from across the Synod and beyond.

There will be four sessions on each aspiration and they will follow the same pattern

Week 1: Introduction to the aspiration theme

Week 2: Praying the theme together

Week 3: Faith reflection on the theme together

Week 4: Ideas for action as individuals and congregations, linking with the Leading your Church into Growth resource.

In May the aspiration we will reflect upon is, ‘Celebrate in our worship, and in our living, God’s unconditional love as revealed in Christ’ and the sessions will be led by Lindsey Sanderson and Sarah Moore. In June we will reflect upon our commitment to work for peace and justice and sessions will be led by members of staff from Christian Aid Scotland.  There will be a break for July and the programme will resume in August.

You are welcome to come for as many sessions as you would like, either focussing on a particular aspiration or choosing to join on the same week each month for that particular focus.
