I am planning on holding an online Lent Group for 2021 meeting on Thursday evenings starting on the 18th February  that is open to anyone and everyone connected with  congregations within the National Synod of Scotland based on 'Living His Story, Revealing the extraordinary love of God in extraordinary ways' by Hannah Steele.  It will not be essential for participants in the group to have their own copies of the book as all material will be provided, but anyone wanting to read and reflect more deeply with the themes introduced will find having their own copy useful.

The blurb on the back cover of the book introduces the themes within,"We are fascinated by stories.  Every culture has them, passed from generation to generation.  Stories tell us who we are, where we belong and how we relate to the world around us.  The gospel of Jesus Christ is the story at the heart of the universe, and yet the Church finds itself in a culture that has largely forgotten this good news.  How can we convey the extraordinary love of God to our neighbours in such a strange post-Christian world?"Each week has a theme taking a chapter from the book:

Week 1 - The greatest story of all time

Week 2 - Catching up with God

Week 3 - Jesus was in the transformation business

Week 4 - Communicating like Jesus did

Week 5 - Passing on the story of Jesus

Week 6 - Finding echoes of the story of Jesus in our world today

The group will meet on Thursday evenings through Lent, starting on the 18th February at 7.00pm.
